Fennel
Today my green smoothie consisted of a stalk and bulb of fennel, 2 cups of spinach, 2 bananas, the juice of 1 lemon, 1/2 cup of dried cranberries, ice and water. Fennel is said to contain many key minerals and vitamins that our bodies need. Vitamin C, fiber, manganese, potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron and vitamin B3.The vitamin C found in the bulb is antibacterial and gives the immune system the boost it needs. This smoothie not only packs a power punch to bacteria and germs, but it was delicious as well!
